Hi, Today I had the honor & the pleasure to be on RESHET's TV Channel 2 morning program hosted by celebrated performer and TV personality Moshe Datz.
Datz was very enthusiastic about the book
"ISRAEL FASHION ART 1948-2008"
"שיכרון עיצובים - אמנות האופנה בישראל". referring to it as "an encyclopedia", saying "nothing is missing from it". He was especially excited when he discoverd it included the attached photo of a design by Yaron Minkowsky taken By Eldad Maestro.
The dress is made of embroided Bucharian tablecloths which Minkowsky found in the flea market and won first prize in an international design competition. Upon seeing it in 1989 on the cover of "Yedioth Ahronoth" life-style magazine as part of one of my articles he had decided that if his and his former wife singer Orna Datz' song would be chosen to represent Israel in the Eurovision they would ask the designer to create their stage costumes from the very same fabric. Eventually their song was chosen and they indeed requested the designer to make their outfits from the same embroidered tablecloths Wearing it they won 3rd place in the international song competition.
